Odd Systems, a Ukrainian developer specializing in the production of thermal imaging cameras and FPV drones, has announced a partnership with Danish defense concern Terma Group to work together on an AI-based drone interceptor. The company shared details with Vector.

What happened

Odd Systems, a Ukrainian company that develops thermal imaging cameras and FPV drones, launched by Yaroslav Azhnyuk, has entered into a partnership with Danish defense concern Terma Group to work together on an AI-based drone interceptor.

As part of the cooperation, Odd Systems will provide Terma Group with its experience working with FPV drones, thermal imaging cameras, and cooperation with the Ukrainian Defense Forces to create a reliable platform to counter threats from drones.

Drones that need to be countered at Odd Systems include:

  • FPV.
  • Mavic tactical drones.
  • Zala type fixed-wing drones.
  • Shahed long-range strike drones.

Why is this interesting?

Recall that the co-founder of Petcube and Fuelfinance launched the miltech company Odd Systems in February 2024 – this project specializes in sports FPV drones and their components. We reported on the details earlier.

We recently wrote that defense startup The Fourth Law has attracted its first investments from funds from the US, Canada, and the EU — it is also a startup by Yaroslav Azhnyuk. The Fourth Law develops AI guidance systems for FPV drones.

Odd Systems products include:

  • thermal imaging cameras “Kurbas-256″ and “Kurbas-640“;
  • FPV drones “Stus-7“, “Lupynis-10“, “Gorska-12″.

They are named after prominent figures of the “Shooted Renaissance” and the “Sixties” — Ukrainian intellectuals of the 20th century who were persecuted and destroyed by the Soviet regime. The company was founded in 2023.
